What does villa landscaping include?
Villa landscaping at MasterMaint covers the design, the approvals and the construction of the whole garden: planting and turf, paving and seating areas, irrigation, lighting, drainage and waterproofing. We work on villas and townhouses, and our page for a landscaping company in Dubai covers the full range of landscaping work.
Design and 3D visualisation
We survey the plot, prepare a concept and show the garden in 3D before work starts. Technical drawings and a bill of quantities follow, ready for approval and construction. The full design process is on our Landscape Design in Dubai page.
Lawn, trees and planting
We install natural or artificial turf, trees, shrubs and seasonal planting, grouped by sun exposure and water need. Artificial lawns are covered on our Artificial Grass Supply & Installation in Dubai page.
Paving, stone and seating areas
Interlock paving and pathways, decorative stone, feature walls, outdoor seating zones and fire features give the garden its structure. Read more on our Interlock Paving: Supply & Installation in Dubai page.
Irrigation and lighting
A water-efficient irrigation system waters each zone to match the planting. Garden and feature lighting, with the outdoor electrical planning, extends the use of the garden into the evening. Read more on our Automatic Irrigation Systems in Dubai and Outdoor & Landscape Lighting in Dubai pages.
Drainage and waterproofing
We set the levels, the drainage and the waterproofing so water drains away from paving, planting beds and the villa itself.
Large trees need a planned route in and a stable base. We confirm both at the site visit, before the tree is made or ordered. Bespoke scope: heights of 3 m and more, matched to your space.
Which villa gardens do we landscape?
We landscape villas and townhouses in Dubai, whether the plot is new, handed over by a developer or already planted. The front yard and the backyard serve different needs, so we plan each zone separately.
New plot
A new plot starts from bare ground. We design the garden, prepare the soil and the levels, and build every element, so you move from an empty plot to a finished garden with one team.
Developer handover plot
Developers hand over plots in different conditions. We assess the plot as handed over, check the community guidelines and design a garden that fits them.
Garden renovation
An older garden often needs only part of the work. We renovate tired planting, failing irrigation or dated paving instead of starting over.
Front yard
The front yard sets the entrance. We plan the planting, the paving, the lighting and the privacy around the driveway, the gate and the front door.
Backyard
The backyard is where the household spends its time. We plan the lawn, the seating, the shade and, where there is one, the pool surround, so each area works for the way you use the garden. Read more on our Swimming Pool Builders in Dubai page.
How does villa landscaping work from site visit to handover?
Every villa project follows seven stages, managed by one MasterMaint team.
Site visit and brief
We visit the plot, measure the space and record what you want from the garden. The site visit is free. You leave with your brief recorded.
Concept and 3D design
We prepare the layout, the planting and the materials, and show the garden in 3D. You review it and agree the changes.
Technical drawings and approvals
We prepare the drawings and submit them to the relevant authorities.
Itemised quote
A written quote lists the plants, the materials, the systems and the works, so the price matches the drawings.
Site preparation
We prepare the levels, the soil and the drainage before any paving or planting starts.
Build
We install the paving, the planting, the turf, the irrigation and the lighting.
Handover
We hand over the finished garden, and you can choose ongoing care.
Does a villa garden need approval in Dubai?
It depends on the community and the scope of work. Villas in master-planned communities usually need developer approval, and some works need municipal permission. We prepare the drawings and submit them to the relevant authorities, including Dubai Municipality, DDA, Emaar and Nakheel Trakhees.
We identify the correct route at the site visit and prepare the drawings to match that authority’s requirements. You do not need to chase approvals yourself.
How much does villa landscaping cost in Dubai?
The price depends on the size of the plot, the scope of the garden and the features you choose. The guide below shows typical market prices for each villa size. We confirm your exact price in an itemised written quote after the free site visit.
| Villa size | Typical scope | How it is priced | Typical market range (AED) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Townhouse or small garden (up to about 100 sqm) | Turf, planting, paving and irrigation | Per project | About 15,000 to 30,000+ |
| Standard villa garden (about 200 to 400 sqm) | Turf, planting, paving, seating area, irrigation and lighting | Per project, often about 150 to 300 per sqm | About 36,000 to 120,000 |
| Large villa plot (600 sqm and above) | Full garden with turf, planting, hardscape, irrigation, lighting and added features | Per project | About 108,000 to 350,000+ |
These are typical ranges published by Dubai landscaping companies in 2026. They are a market guide, not MasterMaint prices. Your written quote gives the exact figure.
What affects the price
- Plot size: a larger plot needs more materials, more planting and more time on site
- Lawn area and turf type: natural grass and artificial grass differ in cost and in upkeep
- Planting and trees: the number, size and type of trees and shrubs set the planting cost
- Hardscape: the area of paving and the choice of material change the price
- Features: a pergola, a water feature, decking or a pool surround adds to the scope
- Irrigation and lighting: the size of the garden and the number of zones set the system cost
- Site condition and access: levels, soil and access to the plot affect the preparation work
- Approvals: the authority involved sets the drawings and documents required
Your quote lists each part, so you can see what the price covers and adjust the scope. Our guide explains each factor in more detail: read villa landscape design cost in Dubai.
Large trees need a planned route in and a stable base. We confirm both at the site visit, before the tree is made or ordered. Bespoke scope: heights of 3 m and more, matched to your space.
How long does villa landscaping take?
The time depends on the size of the plot, the scope, the approvals and the speed of your decisions. As a market guide, a small garden refresh can take a few weeks, while a full villa project can take up to about six months from the first design meeting to handover. We agree the programme with you at the start of the project.
Four things set the length of a project:
- Plot size and scope: a larger garden with more features takes longer to build
- Approvals: the authority involved and how complete the submission is
- Your decisions: how quickly you review and approve the concept and the 3D views
- Materials and features: the supply time of materials and special features
How does Dubai's climate shape a villa garden?
Strong sun, high heat, low rainfall and sandy, saline soil shape every villa garden in Dubai. We design for these conditions from the first sketch, so the garden stays healthy and usable through the summer.
- Shade and privacy: we study how the sun moves across the plot and place trees, planting and shade structures to suit it
- Planting: plants are chosen for heat and sun tolerance and grouped by their water needs
- Soil and drainage: the preparation work covers the soil, the levels and the drainage, so roots establish and water drains away
- Water use: irrigation is zoned to match the planting, and artificial grass removes the watering need from lawn areas where you want it to
What can I add, and what happens after handover?
A villa garden can include a pool, a pergola, decking or a water feature. We plan each one together with the garden, so the elements match.
- Swimming pool: see Swimming Pool Builders in Dubai
- Pergola: see Pergolas in Dubai: Design, Supply & Installation
- Decking: see WPC & Outdoor Decking in Dubai
- Water feature: see Water Features & Fountains in Dubai
After handover, you can ask us to maintain the garden under routine care or an annual maintenance contract. The warranty on the build works is set out in your written quote.

How do you choose a villa landscaping company in Dubai?
Choose a villa landscaping company that shows what you will receive, explains who designs and builds, and prices its work clearly. Ask every company the same five things.
- Scope. Ask what the project includes. A clear list of design, planting, paving, irrigation and lighting shows what the price buys.
- Responsibility. Ask who designs and who builds. One company that does both removes the gap between the drawings and the site work.
- Approvals. Ask who prepares and submits the drawings to the community and the authorities. A company that handles this saves you the chasing.
- The price. Ask how the price is set and what it covers. An itemised written quote shows what is included and what is extra.
- Proof. Ask to see completed villa gardens. Real photos of finished work, ideally next to the original 3D concept, show the standard of the work.

Villa landscaping FAQs
How much does it cost to landscape a villa in Dubai?
The cost depends on the size of the plot, the scope of the garden, the materials and the features, such as a pool surround or a pergola. The price guide above shows how each villa size is priced, and your itemised quote after the site visit gives the exact figure.
Can you design a low-maintenance villa garden?
Yes. A low-maintenance villa garden uses drought-tolerant planting, artificial grass where you want a lawn without mowing and watering, and an efficient irrigation system. We design for the level of care you want to give. Read more on our Artificial Grass Supply & Installation in Dubai page, and see Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai for ongoing care.
Does landscaping add value to a villa?
A well-planned, well-kept garden makes a villa more usable and more attractive. The effect on value depends on the property and the market, so we do not promise a figure.
Which plants cope with the Dubai summer?
Drought-tolerant plants cope well with Dubai’s heat, and the right choice depends on the sun exposure, soil and irrigation of your plot. We select plants zone by zone at the design stage and confirm the planting plan with you.
Should I choose natural grass or artificial grass for my villa?
Natural grass looks and feels like a lawn and needs regular watering, mowing and summer care. Artificial grass needs no mowing and no irrigation water, and suits shaded spots, terraces and pool areas. We supply and install both. Read more on our Artificial Grass Supply & Installation in Dubai page.
Can you landscape around an existing pool?
Yes. We design the garden around the pool, the villa and the structures already on your plot. For a new pool, we plan the surround together with the landscape. Read more on our Swimming Pool Builders in Dubai page.
What should I prepare before the site visit?
Have your plot plan or handover documents ready if you have them, the community guidelines, a list of what you want in the garden and a rough budget. These help, but they are not required, and we can start from a conversation.
Is the site visit free?
The site visit is free and comes with no obligation. After the visit we send an itemised written quote.
