Outdoor & Landscape Lighting in Dubai

MasterMaint designs, supplies and installs garden and feature lighting for villa gardens, paths, entrances, terraces and pergolas in Dubai. One team plans the layout, handles the outdoor electrical planning and fits every light, so the garden is lit where you use it.

We are based in Warsan 3, Dubai.

What does outdoor and landscape lighting include?

Our outdoor lighting service covers the site visit, the lighting layout, the supply of the fixtures, the wiring with the outdoor electrical planning, the installation, and the testing and handover. One MasterMaint team handles every step, so the lights, the cables and the garden are planned together.

Landscape lighting is lighting designed for a garden or outdoor space rather than for a building. It lights paths, planting, features and seating areas, and it is placed to show the space without glare.

Large trees need a planned route in and a stable base. We confirm both at the site visit, before the tree is made or ordered. Bespoke scope: heights of 3 m and more, matched to your space.

Which areas of the garden do we light?

We light paths and steps, entrances and gates, planting and trees, terraces and seating areas, pergolas and water features. Each area has its own job, so each gets its own type of light. We agree the areas with you at the site visit.

Paths and steps

Path and step lighting keeps the way clear after dark. Low fixtures throw light onto the ground and the step edges, and shielded fittings keep the glare out of your eyes. We place the lights so the whole route is lit evenly. Paths and steps are often built in Interlock Paving: Supply & Installation in Dubai, and we plan the cable routes before the paving goes down.

Entrances and gates

The entrance is the first part of the property you see in the evening. We light the gate, the door and the house number with wall lights or bollard lights, so visitors find the entrance and the approach is clear. Entrances form part of the front garden in Villa Landscaping in Dubai.

Planting and trees

Up-lights and spotlights show palms, trees and planting beds at night. We aim each light at the trunk, the canopy or the foliage that gives the planting its shape. The same planting looks different by day and by night, and the layout takes that into account.

Terraces and seating areas

Seating areas need soft, low light that you can sit in. We use wall lights and step lights, and string lights where the design calls for them, and we add dimmers so you can set the mood. Terraces that combine lighting with decking are covered in WPC & Outdoor Decking in Dubai.

Pergolas

A pergola frames a seating or dining area, so its lighting is fixed into the structure. We plan the fixing points and the wiring routes together with the pergola. Read more on our Pergolas in Dubai: Design, Supply & Installation page.

Water features and feature walls

Water features and feature walls give the garden a focal point. We light them from below or from the side, with fixtures made for use in or near water. Read more on our Water Features & Fountains in Dubai page.

How do you choose the right outdoor lights?

Choose outdoor lights by the job each one does. A light for a step, a light for a tree and a light for a table need different fittings, so we select each fixture for its position. Weather rating, light colour and glare control matter more than the number of fittings.

Eight types of outdoor light cover most gardens:

FixtureWhere it is usedWhat it does
Path lightsBeside paths and bordersLight the ground at a low level
Step lightsIn walls, risers and stair edgesMark each step clearly
Bollard lightsAlong drives and approachesLight a route from a low post
Wall lightsOn house, boundary and feature wallsLight entrances and seating areas
Up-lights and spotlightsBeneath trees and plantingShow trunks, canopies and foliage
Deck and in-ground lightsSet into decking and pavingGive flush, low-level light
String lightsOver seating areas and pergolasGive soft, casual light
Submersible lightsIn or beside water featuresLight water and its surroundings

Three points decide whether a fixture suits its position:

Lighting shows the garden and makes paths safe to use. It does not replace a security system.

How are outdoor lights powered and controlled?

Outdoor lights run on low voltage, on mains power or on solar. We choose the power source for each area and plan the cable routes and the power point at the layout stage. Controls such as timers, sensors and dimmers set when the lights come on and how bright they are.

Solar or wired lights

Solar lights suit small, low-use spots where running a cable is hard, such as a far corner of the garden. Wired lights suit paths, steps, entrances and seating areas, because they light at the same strength every evening and run on a planned circuit. Most gardens use wired lighting for the main routes and areas. Solar is an addition for a few spots.

How is outdoor lighting designed and installed?

Every outdoor lighting project follows seven stages, managed by one MasterMaint team. The layout comes before the fixtures are bought, because the layout decides where every light, cable and power point goes.

01

Site visit and brief

We visit, walk the garden and agree which areas to light and how you use them. The site visit is free. You leave with the areas agreed.

02

Lighting layout

We draw the layout by area, with a position and a type for each fixture. The result is a plan you can check before any work starts.

03

Fixture selection and written quote

We select the fixtures for each position and send a written quote based on the agreed layout.

04

Cable routes and power

We set the cable routes, the ducting and the power point. In a new garden this happens alongside the paving and planting. The result is a clean route for every cable.

05

Installation and wiring

We fix the fixtures and wire the circuits. The result is a complete, connected installation.

06

Aiming, testing and controls

We aim each light, test every circuit and set the timers, sensors and dimmers. The result is lighting that works as planned.

07

Handover and care guidance

We walk you through the lighting and the controls and explain how to look after the fixtures.

Can outdoor lighting be added to an existing garden?

Yes. Outdoor lighting can be added to a garden that is already built. The work differs by garden type: a new garden takes the cable routes before the paving and planting go in, and an existing garden needs routes cut, ducted or fixed on the surface. We confirm the method at the site visit.

New garden

Cable routes go in with the groundwork, so no finished surface is cut. This is the simplest route. Lighting planned during Landscape Design in Dubai fits into the design from the start.

Existing garden

We trace the clearest routes through beds, edges and hard surfaces, and we fix cables on the surface where cutting is not practical. Fixtures sit where the planting and paving already are.

How much does outdoor lighting cost in Dubai?

Outdoor lighting is priced by scope, and the price depends on the number and grade of the fixtures, the areas lit, the length of the cable routes, the surfaces, and the controls. The guide below shows typical market prices by garden size. We confirm the exact price in a written quote after the site visit.

ScopeTypical areas litTypical market range (AED)
Small gardenPath and accent lightingAbout 3,000 to 6,000
Medium villa gardenPaths, planting highlights and seating areasAbout 6,000 to 12,000
Large or fully renovated gardenPergola lighting, feature trees and several zones with controlsAbout 12,000 to 25,000+

These are typical ranges published by Dubai landscaping companies in 2026. Premium schemes with high-grade fixtures can cost much more. They are a market guide, not MasterMaint prices. Your written quote gives the exact figure.

What affects the price

Your quote lists each part, so you can see what the price covers. Our guide explains each factor in more detail: read outdoor lighting cost in Dubai.

Large trees need a planned route in and a stable base. We confirm both at the site visit, before the tree is made or ordered. Bespoke scope: heights of 3 m and more, matched to your space.

How long does outdoor lighting installation take?

The time depends on the number of areas, the garden type and the cable routes. As a market guide, a small garden often takes 1 to 2 days, a medium villa garden 2 to 4 days and a large garden 3 to 5 days. We confirm the timeline in your written quote.

Four things set the length of a job:

Will outdoor lights last in Dubai?

Outdoor lights last in Dubai when the fixtures are made for the conditions and the connections are sealed. Heat, humidity, dust and water wear fittings faster than indoor conditions do, so we select weather-rated fixtures for each position and look after them with simple, regular checks.

Heat, humidity and dust

Summer heat and strong sun age plastics, cables and finishes. Humidity and water from irrigation, rain and pool splash reach any joint that is not sealed. Dust and sand settle on lenses and dim the light. We select fixtures with a weather rating that suits each position, with sealed connections and corrosion-resistant materials.

Running cost

LED fittings use little electricity compared with older lamp types, and timers and sensors keep the lights off when nobody needs them. The running cost depends on the number of fixtures and the hours they run.

Maintenance and replacement

Outdoor lighting needs light upkeep:

The warranty on the fixtures and the installation is set out in your written quote. Our Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai service looks after gardens through the year.

What can go with outdoor lighting?

Outdoor lighting works as part of a planned outdoor space. As a landscaping company in Dubai, we plan the lighting together with the design, paving, decking, pergolas, water features and planting, so the cable routes, the fixings and the levels match.

Outdoor lighting FAQs

Outdoor lighting is priced by scope. The cost depends on the number and grade of the fixtures, the areas lit, the cable routes, the surfaces and the controls. The price guide above shows typical market prices by garden size, and your written quote after the site visit gives the exact figure.

Wired lighting suits paths, steps, entrances and seating areas, because it runs on a planned circuit and lights at the same strength every evening. Solar suits a few small spots where a cable is hard to run. Most villa gardens use wired lighting for the main areas.

Outdoor lights need a rating made for outdoor use, matched to where each fixture sits. Fixtures near irrigation, water features and open ground need a higher rating than fixtures under a roof. Your quote lists the rating of each fixture we propose.

Small plug-in or solar lights are simple to place yourself. A wired scheme is different: the cable routes, the sealed connections and the circuits decide how well it works and how long it lasts. We install the wiring and the fixtures for your garden.

Yes. We add lighting to existing gardens by cutting, ducting or fixing the cable routes to suit the surfaces. The section above explains the difference between new and existing gardens.

LED fittings use little electricity, and timers and sensors keep the lights off when nobody needs them. The total depends on the number of fixtures and the hours they run.

Pool lighting systems are part of our pool work. Read more on our Swimming Pool Builders in Dubai page. We light the garden around the pool as part of the garden lighting.
