What do our irrigation services include?
Our irrigation service covers the site visit, the survey and zone map, the design, the installation, the controller set-up, the testing, and the handover. One MasterMaint team handles every step, so the irrigation is planned together with the planting, the lawn and the hardscape around it.
An automatic irrigation system waters the garden on a schedule, zone by zone, without hand watering. We design intelligent, water-efficient systems that match the plants you have chosen, from lawn to shrubs to trees.
- Visit the property, see the garden and agree what needs watering
- Map the zones by plant type and water need
- Design the system, the pipework and the controller settings
- Install the pipes, valves, sprinkler heads and drippers
- Set up the controller and test every zone
- Hand over the system with care guidance
Large trees need a planned route in and a stable base. We confirm both at the site visit, before the tree is made or ordered. Bespoke scope: heights of 3 m and more, matched to your space.
Which irrigation systems do we install?
We install automatic systems that water each area in the way it needs: sprinklers for lawns and drip lines for beds, shrubs, trees and pots. Many gardens use both in separate zones. The system follows the area and the plants, and we confirm it with you at the design stage.
Lawn sprinkler zones
A lawn needs even coverage across a wide area. Sprinkler heads are placed in zones so the water overlaps correctly and reaches the whole lawn. Natural lawns suit this system. Artificial turf needs no irrigation water, and our Artificial Grass Supply & Installation in Dubai page explains where it fits.
Drip irrigation for beds, shrubs, trees and pots
Drip lines deliver water slowly to the root zone of each plant. This suits planting beds, shrubs, trees and pots, where each plant needs a steady supply at ground level.
Automatic control
A controller opens each zone at set times, so the garden is watered without anyone turning a tap. The schedule is adjusted to the season and the planting.
Existing gardens
Existing irrigation systems are checked and repaired through our Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai service.
Where do we install irrigation?
We install irrigation on villa lawns, in planting beds, around shrubs and trees, in pots and planters, and in new landscapes. Each setting makes different demands on coverage and pressure, so we agree the setting with you at the site visit.
Villa lawns
A villa lawn is the largest area to water and the most visible. We divide it into zones so the coverage is even and the water pressure is enough for every head. Villa gardens are covered in Villa Landscaping in Dubai.
Planting beds, shrubs and trees
Beds and trees have different water needs from the lawn. We give them their own zones and drip lines, so each plant receives what it needs. Plant choice is part of the design, covered in Landscape Design in Dubai.
Pots and planters
Pots dry out fast in the Dubai sun. Small drip lines carry water to each pot on the same schedule as the rest of the garden. Planters are covered in our GRP and GRC Planters page.
New landscapes
In a new landscape the pipework is laid before the paving and the planting go in, so nothing needs to be dug up later. We plan this with the other works, including Interlock Paving: Supply & Installation in Dubai.
How does an automatic irrigation system work?
An automatic irrigation system moves water from the source to the plants in a set order. Water passes through a filter to a set of valves, one for each zone. The controller opens each valve at a set time, and the pipes carry the water to sprinkler heads or drippers.
What the system is made of
- Water source: the mains supply or a tank feeds the system
- Filter: the filter keeps dust and debris out of the pipes and heads
- Pressure: the pressure must suit the heads, so we check it at the design stage
- Controller: the controller holds the schedule for every zone
- Valves: each valve opens one zone at a time
- Pipework: pipes carry the water from the valves to each zone
- Heads and drippers: sprinkler heads cover lawns, and drippers serve beds, trees and pots
Zone mapping
Zone mapping divides the garden into areas that receive the same type of watering. A lawn, a shaded bed, a sunny bed and a row of trees each form their own zone, because each needs a different amount of water. The zone map is drawn at the survey stage and guides every pipe and valve that follows.
Matching water to planting
Water-efficient irrigation starts with the plants. The plant selection decides how much water each zone needs and how often. We design the zones around your planting plan, so thirsty and drought-tolerant plants are never on the same line.
How is an irrigation system designed and installed?
Every irrigation project follows seven stages, managed by one MasterMaint team. The zone map and the design are agreed before any pipe goes in, because they decide the layout, the pressure and the schedule.
Site visit and brief
We visit, see the garden and agree what needs watering. The site visit is free. You leave with the scope and the water source agreed.
Survey, zone map and design
We survey the garden, map the zones and design the system. The result is a plan you can check before work starts.
Written quote
We send a written quote based on the agreed design.
Water source connection and pipework
We connect the water source and lay the pipework. The result is a pipe network ready for the valves.
Valves, heads and drippers
We fit the valves, the sprinkler heads and the drippers. The result is a system that reaches every zone.
Controller set-up and testing
We set up the controller and test every zone for coverage and pressure. The result is a system that waters on schedule.
Handover
We clear the site and walk you through the controller and the care of the system.
How much does an irrigation system cost in Dubai?
Irrigation system cost in Dubai depends on the garden area and the number of zones, the system type, the pipe run, the water source and pressure, the soil, the controller, and the access to the site. The guide below shows typical market prices. We confirm the exact price in a written quote after the site visit.
| System | What changes the price | Typical market range (AED) |
|---|---|---|
| Drip system for a small bed (about 20 plants) | Number of plants, pipe run | About 2,000 to 4,000 |
| Basic drip irrigation by area | Area, zones, pipe run | About 25 to 55+ per sqm |
| Full villa system (lawn and beds) | Total area, zones, water source, controller | About 8,000 to 15,000+, with larger systems at 15,000 to 45,000 |
| Smart, app-connected controller | Controller type, number of zones, features | About 4,500 to 12,500 extra |
These are typical ranges published by Dubai landscaping companies and property guides in 2026. They are a market guide, not MasterMaint prices. Your written quote gives the exact figure.
What affects the price
- Garden area and zones: a larger garden needs more pipe, more valves and more zones
- System type: sprinkler zones and drip lines are priced differently
- Pipe run and ground: longer runs and harder ground add work
- Water source and pressure: a source far from the garden, or low pressure, adds connection work
- Soil: the soil affects trenching and how the water spreads
- Controller and extras: the controller type and any added features set the controller cost
- Access: the route for materials and the conditions on site affect the time
- Approvals: where relevant, they add steps before work starts
Your quote lists each part, so you can see what the price covers. Our guide explains each factor in more detail: read Irrigation system cost and types for UAE gardens.
Large trees need a planned route in and a stable base. We confirm both at the site visit, before the tree is made or ordered. Bespoke scope: heights of 3 m and more, matched to your space.
How long does irrigation installation take?
The time depends on the garden size, the number of zones, the ground, and the coordination with other landscape works. A small lawn with a few beds and a large villa garden take different lengths of time. We confirm the timeline in your written quote.
Four things set the length of a job:
- Garden size and zones: more zones mean more pipe, valves and testing
- Pipe run and ground: long runs and hard ground take longer to trench
- Supply of components: the valves, heads and controller are ready before the pipework is finished
- Access and coordination: in a new landscape, the pipework follows the schedule of the paving and the planting
Will an irrigation system cope with Dubai conditions?
An irrigation system copes with the Dubai conditions when the zones, the run times and the watering are set for the heat and the soil. Strong sun, high evaporation, low rainfall and sandy, saline soil all shape what a garden needs, so we design each system for the site.
Heat and evaporation
Summer heat raises the water that plants need, and evaporation is high in strong sun. The controller runs each zone at set times, and we set the schedule with the season and the plants in mind. Watering at the right time of day gives the plants more of the water that reaches them.
Sandy and saline soil
Sandy soil lets water drain quickly, and saline soil and water affect how plants take up what they receive. We take the soil into account at the design stage and choose the zones and the type of watering to suit it.
Care after handover
An irrigation system needs regular checks to keep working well:
- Coverage: check that every head and dripper waters the area it should
- Pressure: check that the pressure stays steady across each zone
- Leaks and blocked heads: repair leaks and clear blocked heads and drippers
- Controller: check the schedule and adjust it with the seasons
- Filter: clean the filter on a regular basis
Checks, repairs and annual contracts are handled through Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai. The warranty on the system is set out in your written quote.
What are the common irrigation mistakes?
Most irrigation problems start at the design stage. Five mistakes appear most often:
- One zone for different plants: a lawn and a bed on the same line cannot both receive the right amount of water
- Poor coverage: heads placed too far apart leave dry patches
- Pressure left unchecked: low pressure gives a weak spray, and high pressure wastes water and damages heads
- Controller left on default settings: a schedule that ignores the season and the plants over or under waters
- Leaks and blocked heads ignored: small faults grow into wet patches and dry areas
A site visit and a zone plan before any work starts avoid all five.
What can go with an irrigation system?
Irrigation works as part of a planned landscape. As a landscaping company in Dubai, we plan the irrigation together with the planting, the lawn, the paving and the lighting, so the pipes, the levels and the connections match.
- Maintenance: Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai for checks, repairs and annual contracts
- Artificial grass: Artificial Grass Supply & Installation in Dubai for lawn areas that need no irrigation water
- Paving: Interlock Paving: Supply & Installation in Dubai for paths and paved areas, with the pipework laid first
- Lighting: Outdoor & Landscape Lighting in Dubai for garden lighting, planned with the same trenches
- Planters: GRP and GRC Planters for potted plants on drip lines
- Living walls: Living Walls in Dubai for planted walls with their own watering
- Water features: Water Features & Fountains in Dubai for a focal point in the garden

How do you choose an irrigation company in Dubai?
Choose a company that plans the zones first, explains the system and prices the work clearly. When you compare irrigation companies in Dubai, ask each one the same five things.
- Site visit and zone plan. Ask for a plan that shows the zones and what each one waters. A plan shows that the system is designed, not just laid.
- Planting match. Ask how the water is matched to your plants. The plants decide how much each zone needs.
- Water source and pressure. Ask how the source and the pressure are checked. The pressure decides whether every head works properly.
- Price. Ask for a written quote that lists what is included. An itemised quote shows what is extra.
- Proof. Ask to see completed systems. Real photos show the standard of the work.

Irrigation FAQs
How much does an irrigation system cost in Dubai?
Irrigation systems are priced by the project. The cost depends on the garden area and the number of zones, the system type, the pipe run, the water source and pressure, the controller, and the access to the site. The price guide above shows typical market prices, and your written quote after the site visit gives the exact figure.
Which irrigation system suits a villa garden: drip or sprinkler?
Many villa gardens use both. Sprinkler zones suit lawns, and drip lines suit beds, shrubs, trees and pots. We divide the garden into zones by plant type and confirm the system at the site visit.
Does an automatic irrigation system save water?
An automatic system avoids over and under watering. The garden is divided into zones, each runs for a set time, and the watering is matched to the planting. That means the water goes where the plants need it and runs only when it is scheduled.
Can the system be controlled from a phone?
The controller waters each zone automatically on a schedule. App-connected controllers are available on the market; tell us at the site visit if you want one, and we include it in the quote.
Can an existing irrigation system be upgraded or repaired?
Repairs and regular checks are handled by our maintenance team under Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai.
Do I need a maintenance contract for the system?
A regular check keeps coverage, pressure and the controller schedule in order. Annual maintenance contracts for gardens and irrigation are offered under Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai.
Is there a warranty, and how long does an irrigation system last?
A system lasts as long as it is installed and checked well. That means correct zones, steady pressure and regular care. Your written quote sets out the warranty.
Is the site visit free, and what do you need to know about my garden?
The site visit is free and comes with no obligation. It helps to know the garden area, what needs watering, the water source and whether an irrigation system already exists. After the visit we send a written quote based on the agreed design.
