GRP vs GRC Planters: Which to Choose?

Updated October 2026

GRP and GRC planters are both used in Dubai villas, offices, hotels and public spaces. They look similar in photos, but they are made differently and suit different places. This guide compares them.

What is GRP?

GRP stands for glass-reinforced plastic, also called fibreglass. Glass fibres are set in a resin to form a thin, strong and light shell. GRP can be moulded into many shapes and finished in gloss, matt or metallic paint.

What is GRC?

GRC stands for glass-reinforced concrete. Alkali-resistant glass fibres are mixed into a cement-based material, giving a thin concrete that is stronger and lighter than ordinary concrete. GRC has a natural stone or concrete look.
