How to Choose a Pool Maintenance Company in Dubai

A good pool maintenance company keeps the water safe and clear, protects the equipment and spots problems early. This guide sets out what to check before you sign a contract.

1. Ask what each visit includes

A clear scope should list skimming, brushing, vacuuming, water testing and balancing, filter cleaning and an equipment check. If a company cannot tell you what happens on each visit, keep looking.

2. Check visit frequency

Most villa pools in Dubai need at least one visit a week, and more in summer or for heavily used pools. Ask whether the schedule changes with the season.

3. Ask about chemicals

Find out whether chemicals are included, which products are used and how the water is tested. Ask for a record of the readings after each visit.

4. Ask about repairs and equipment

Ask whether the company can repair pumps, filters, leaks and tiles, or whether it only cleans. A company that can also handle repairs saves time when something fails. See Swimming Pool Repair & Renovation in Dubai for the repair side.

5. Compare contracts properly

  • Visits per week and per season
  • Chemicals included or extra
  • Call-out response time
  • Repair rates and parts
  • Notice period and contract length

Typical market prices are in our pool maintenance cost guide.

6. Look for proof

Read Google reviews, ask how long the company has worked on villa pools and ask for references from clients nearby.

Red flags

  • No written scope or contract
  • Visits that are short and irregular
  • No water test records
  • Prices far below the market without explanation
  • No insurance or trade licence details on request

Questions to ask

  1. What happens on each visit?
  2. How often will you visit in summer and winter?
  3. Are chemicals included?
  4. Will I get water test readings?
  5. Can you repair equipment and leaks?
  6. How fast do you respond to a call-out?
  7. What is the notice period?
