How to Choose a Landscaping Company in Dubai

Updated October 2026

A garden is a large spend, and the company you choose decides how close the finished garden comes to the design you approved. This checklist helps you compare landscaping companies in Dubai on the points that matter, so you can judge quotes on more than the bottom line.

1. Check the scope of services

Find out what the company does itself and what it subcontracts. A villa garden can include design, planting, turf, paving, irrigation, lighting, pergolas, decking and water features. A company that plans all of these together can match the levels, the drainage and the cable and pipe routes.

2. Ask who designs and who builds

When the designer and the builder are different companies, details get lost between the drawings and the site. Ask whether the same team designs and builds, and whether you will see a 3D view or drawings before work starts. Our Landscape Design in Dubai page explains what a design stage should include.

3. Ask about approvals

Many villa communities need developer approval for landscape works, and some works need municipal permission. Ask who prepares the drawings, who submits them and who follows them up. A company that handles approvals saves you time and avoids work being stopped.

4. Compare itemised quotes

A lump-sum quote hides what you are paying for. Ask each company for an itemised written quote that lists:

  • Areas and quantities: square metres of turf and paving, number of trees and plants
  • Materials and specifications: block type, grass grade, plant sizes
  • Systems: irrigation zones, lighting fixtures and controls
  • Preparation: excavation, soil, levels and drainage
  • What is excluded

Then compare like with like. A much cheaper quote usually leaves out base work, soil preparation or irrigation.

5. Ask for proof of work

Ask to see completed gardens similar to yours, ideally with before and after photos. Read reviews on Google, and ask whether you can speak to a past client. Photos of real projects show the standard of the finishing better than any brochure.

6. Check the timeline and the team

Ask how long the project will take, what could delay it, and who will be on site. Ask who your point of contact is during the works.

7. Ask about aftercare

A new garden needs care while the planting establishes. Ask what happens after handover: care guidance, a maintenance contract, and what the warranty covers. See our Landscape & Garden Maintenance in Dubai page for what ongoing care includes.

Questions to ask every company

  1. Will you visit the site before you quote?
  2. Who designs and who builds?
  3. Will I see a 3D view or drawings before work starts?
  4. Who handles developer and municipal approvals?
  5. Can I have an itemised written quote?
  6. Can I see completed projects like mine?
  7. How long will the work take?
  8. What warranty and aftercare do you offer?

Red flags

  • A price given without a site visit
  • No written quote, or a quote with no quantities
  • No photos of real completed work
  • Pressure to pay a large deposit immediately
  • Vague answers about approvals
